Original rubbings ( 原拓 ) from steles of Chinese calligraphy models are always preferred by well-trained Chinese calligraphers and teachers. The shape, structure, spirits of each characters as well as nuances are well kept; however, due to aging and Acts of God, steles deteriorated over the years and the calligraphy needs to be deciphered, understood, and analyzed for practice or appreciation.
